SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1ST, 2017
8:30 – 9:30AM: Dr. Jes Montgomery, MD – Resiliency, Recovery and Healing: Finding the Impersonal, Impervious and Impermanent in Loss and Recovery
In the midst of the vortex of loss, as in the early and rocky stages of recovery, virtually everything feels personal, permanent and pervasive. Redirecting that feeling and energy is crucial to moving past the moment of doubt and finding that which has always been and will always be true for each of us. This session will enter the journey from the overwhelm of moments through developing awareness of how temporary so much of life is and into the sense of healing, forgiveness, and serenity. We will look at how the journey to healing from addiction is solidified in the resolution of the distortion of these feelings and the freedom from resentment, fear and chaos is found in the solid connection with our selves, our source and our support.
9:30 – 10:30AM: Charlie Risien, LCDC, AAC, CSAT and Sherry Young, PhD, CSAT – Dialogue on Resilience: Necessity for Life; Attribute of Recovery
Since life is, at its best, a dialogue with self, others, Spirit and with expectations, circumstances welcome and unwelcome, every day and traumatic events, as well as with the unseen: our hopes, dreams, and desires, this conversation will model engagement, shared thoughts, inquiries, and may express uncertainty in the process of trying to understand resilience.
10:45 – 11:45AM: Panel discussion lead by Ted Wiard
11:45 – 12:30PM: Lunch. The Silent Auction Closes at 12:30!

We will be holding our third annual Butterfly Release Ceremony at Golden Willow Retreat on Sunday, July 22, 2017 at 10 am. Buy one butterfly for $25 or five for $100 using the links below, and they will be released then.
We invite you to honor a loved one past or present. Many people choose to honor a loved parent, grandparent or child. Perhaps some one you love just graduated from college, high school or kindergarten. Do you have a new baby in the family, honor a new mother!
How does it work?
Donate $25 per person you would like to honor or $100 for five people. You need not be here to participate and you also need not donate to attend. This is an incredibly moving ceremony in which many, many butterflies will be released as Ted Wiard reads the names of the honored people.
Photos will be taken and perhaps video as well.
One Butterfly Five Butterflies
The Kellen Weaver Scholarship fund has been created to enable people to partake in a therapeutic and individualized program offered at Golden Willow Retreat. We have a long history of giving scholarships to our community and those in need, we are moved by this beautiful gesture to support us in this endeavor.
Kellen’s loving mother will receive notification of all donations. We, at Golden Willow Retreat, are genuinely touched and all the recipients of scholarships or partial scholarships will be most grateful.
